Move-in Checklist

We're excited to welcome you to your new home. Please use the checklist below as a guideline for a seamless introduction to your rental property:

Last Month's Rent

We require your last month's rent upon execution of the lease agreement. Your last month's rent deposit will be held and used towards your last month's rent when that day comes.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will schedule your official move-in date and a move-in inspection will be conducted prior to you moving in to document the state of repair of the property.

Booking Moving Truck & Moving Elevator

Make sure you have booked your moving truck well in advance of your move-in date and reserved the moving elevator through the condo management office prior to your move-in date if you are moving into a condo or apartment building.

Utilities

The utilities you'll be responsible for paying are listed in your lease agreement and some may require you set up an account for.  To ensure accounts are set up before your tenancy start date, we recommend you contact the utility companies at least five business days before taking occupancy.

Move-out Checklist

All good things must come to an end. While we're sad to see you go, this move-out checklist should prove useful as you prepare to leave your Bridgeway Property Management rental.

Notice of Intent to Vacate

If you wish to end your tenancy after your fixed-term lease expires, please provide us at least 60 days notice to vacate. Log into your portal and click on the 'Give Notice' button.

Booking Moving Truck & Moving Elevator

Make sure you have booked your moving truck well in advance of your move-out date and reserved the moving elevator through the condo management office prior to your move-out date if you are moving out of a condo or apartment building.

Property Condition

You are responsible for leaving the rental unit in a similar condition to which it was provided to you. We will conduct a move-out inspection with you, after all your belongings have been removed, and will refer back to the move-in inspection report.

You are responsible for:

  • Cleaning: Pay special attention to kitchens and bathrooms, scrubbing shower/tub silicone/grout, inside toilet bowls and inside kitchen appliances. Empty cupboards and closets, leaving nothing behind and removing all garbage from inside the property.
  • Outdoor Areas: Ensure you've addressed all your seasonal maintenance responsibilities as outlined in your lease agreement, including lawn/garden care and snow shoveling.  Neatly place garbage and recycling inside the provided city bins.
  • Repairs: Ensure you've addressed any damage that occurred during your tenancy. This includes patching holes, replacing light bulbs, and painting, where necessary. If the property has substantial damage, please contact our office for assistance.

Interest Earned on Deposit

We will send you an email money transfer for the interest earned on your last month's rent deposit after we've completed a walk-thru of the property with you after you've moved all your belongings out.
